reporting misbehavior

After experiencing misconduct from Tim, we filed a grievance with the board. GRACE was hired to conduct an investigation, but the board and Tim have spent months evading transparency and true accountability.

The GRACE report documents pages of harmful patterns of behavior that compromise the integrity of their mission and leadership. Even worse, they show an intent to mislead and manipulate the outcome.

Yes, 94 pages is a lot of reading…

The full GRACE report is a long, arduous read. But any investigation should be thorough and unbiased. It also demonstrates a thorough methodology, demonstrating the research, expertise, and professionalism the investigators put into their work. The victim and witnesses, as well as Tim and Board members, spent countless hours testifying and providing documentation to ensure any findings met the stringent burden of proof that GRACE requires. We applaud their diligence and professionalism.

If you choose to read the full report, it’s helpful to read it completely front beginning to end, including the footnotes. Each page outlines a helpful framework that explains methodology, research, findings and recommendations.

While we had witnessed the misbehavior firsthand for months, we were shocked at the scope uncovered in the report. We feel the weight of every word in our bodies and hearts, and are still processing the dismay.

Releasing this report could have begun a path toward true accountability and healing for us and the entire community. Unfortunately, The New Evangelicals board and their leader have centered their story, their needs and their damage-control while evading true repair. Their words and actions show an ongoing disconnect and understanding of the mission they purport to embody.
